(10 ago. 1891, Druskininkai, Lituania, Imperio ruso–26 may. 1973, Capri, Italia).

Escultor francés nacido en Lituania. Realizó parte de su obra en EE.UU. Se formó como ingeniero en Vilnius, pero se reorientó hacia la escultura, luego de mudarse a París en 1909. Su obra temprana era de estilo cubista. Alrededor de 1925 comenzó a realizar una serie de obras conocidas como "transparentes, curvilíneos bronces de formas abiertas como El arpista (1930), las que influyeron fuertemente el curso de la escultura del siguiente cuarto de siglo. Después de establecerse cerca de la ciudad de Nueva York en 1941, produjo obras monumentales como La oración (1943) y Belerofonte domando a Pegaso (1966).
